At our headquarters in Bjerringbro, Denmark, you will join our Global System Applications team, part of the Grundfos IT organization. With colleagues in Denmark and the Philippines, we hold the responsibility for Linux System Administration. We are operating a complex and business-critical setup with more than 130 servers. 
 

As our Lead System Engineer, your responsibility will be to drive our cloud native Kubernetes platform. We are transitioning into a newer platform, where you will be the main driver. With two colleagues you will be mapping and driving the process and collaboration across our IT organization

What is the job about?

As a successful Lead System Engineer, you will take ownership of platform architecture, IT security architecture and drive continuous improvements.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Responsibility of our Cloud Native Kubernetes operational stability and readiness.
  • Drive coordination and initiatives within Area and Platform solution aligned with Divisions and Group Functions.
  • Ensure infrastructure operational security for own platforms.
  • Perform business consultancy and advisory in usage, integrations and future roadmaps.
  • Pioneering modern technologies and convert these to opportunities for Grundfos.
  • Leading architectural decisions and adopt automated features.
  • Leading skills and development for the global supporting team.
  • Accountable for global rightsizing, financial tuning and capacity management.
  • Knowledge transfer, task management and delegation (Operations and Support)
  • Secure design and architecture within Area and Platform solution.

 

Your background:

We imagine that you have: 

  • A bachelor’s degree, Area relevant IT Certification or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with complex IT technologies, incidents and problems.
  • Possess industry experience within a business environment; experience working in multifunctional and global environment is strongly preferred.
  • Most likely to have 6-7 years of relevant work experience besides formal education.
  • Strong background executing complex or specialized projects and activities in IT and IT System Engineering.
  • Proven results supporting key initiatives in a large organization; experience in large multifunctional (production, sales, shared services etc.) and global environment is strongly preferred.
  • Possess strong knowledge of best practices in relevant systems, local laws and regulations where applicable, within IT and IT System Engineering Service minds.
  • English proficiency.
