What is the job about?  

 

Grundfos is seeking an experienced Business Developer- Digital Solutions to join its Water Utility Digital Commercialization team. The Business Developer- Digital Solutions will be responsible for expanding the Division Commercial teams knowledge of Grundfos Digital Offerings through coaching and trainings. The Business Developer- Digital Solutions will identify new business opportunities and propose strategies to increase revenue and profitability for WU digital portfolio while fostering relationships with potential clients, partners, and end-users to generate leads and drive business growth. This position reports directly to the Head of Digital Commercialization and will operate on a hybrid schedule out of the Brookshire, Texas facility preferred or remotely. Qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support now or in the future.

 

Your main responsibilities:   

  • Coach and train the organization and end users about Grundfos Digital Offerings in exhibitions, conferences, 1:1 customer calls internal and external meetings.
  • Connect when needed with multiple stakeholders at customer (reliability engineers, plant manager, digital transformation officer)
  • Act as a key speaker and expert for Grundfos at tradeshow, exhibits, seminars, short courses; educate customers on value proposition of Grundfos digital solutions.
  • Actively listen and engage with customers and identify how Grundfos’ value proposition supports their business needs.
  • If needed travel to visit strategic customers and be able to coach and guide them towards digital value-based selling.
  • Challenge status quo to improve business processes and customer experience across teams in collaboration with all stakeholders.
  • Assist leadership in the development of an enterprise data-driven, long-term end-user digital roadmap that will grow the digital business and meet Grundfos’ strategic and financial goals. 
  • Proactively provides customer and user feedback to our development team working on the digital services.
  • Research and fully understand market trends and the direction of the competition.
  • Proactively identify new sales leads and influence the digital sales process for specific customers, markets, products, or industry

 

Your background  

We imagine that you have:    

 

A bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of experience in selling technology products/services (SaaS) and experience in Operations or Systems in the Water Municipal Sector.

  • Knowledge of Controls and Drives in water applications
  • Experience with SCADA solutions as an operator or sales person
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proven ability to collaborate and manage stakeholders effectively
  • Ability to lead sales processes or projects in the digital offering space, with a focus on value-based selling
  • Documented history of running impactful meetings, storytelling, conducting impactful discovery, and organizing enterprise-level organizational planning
  • Ability to understand each customer's unique business needs and develop long-term strategies tailored to their specific requirements
  • Highly developed commercial mindset for selling and delivering digital offerings and services within the Water Municipal Sector
