What is the job about?
The Regional Ops Director for the Americas region is responsible for all Water Utility (WU) manufacturing facilities and is an integral leader across the organization. You will be accountable for securing productivity of the units and departments within the Americas Region. Translating strategy into concrete actions and responsibilities for the following facilities: Fresno, CA USA, San Luis Potosi, MX, Aurora, IL USA, Santiago, Chile Assembly as well as oversight of Brookshire, TX USA. Reporting directly to the VP, Global Water Utility Operations you will have a team of approximately 5-7 senior direct reports and operate out of either the Fresno, CA or Houston, TX facility on a fulltime basis.
Qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.
Your main responsibilities:
- Establish objectives, processes, operational efficiency and concrete execution plans linked to the targets set.
- Select, lead, guide, evaluate and develop the management team to ensure that the unit/department achieves the business objectives and comply with all relevant regulations and laws.
- Lead, direct, control all Operations activities to maximize the use of the organization’s resources and meet established production specifications and schedules volume, deliver and wastage targets in accordance with safety, quality, delay, cost, inventory and people standards.
- Scope of leadership includes purchasing, Supply Chain, ME, Quality, Safety, and other manufacturing functions at our plants
- Align and collaborate closely with other divisional operational heads in achieving regional and global delivery targets
- Strong partnership with regional stakeholders including but not limited to Sales, Supply Chain, Quality, etc. supporting the region and globe
- Ability to lead people leaders including all plant leadership in scope and their plant teams, serving as plant leadership when applicable.
- Lead Footprint and other strategic initiatives for the region
Your background
- At least 10 years of relevant work experience
- Experience developing and implementing overall operating processes preferably within Operations.
- Experience developing and executing key strategic initiatives within a complex business environment; experience working in a large manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
- Extensive experience operating and leading a large team and/or complex process preferably within Operations.
- Knowledge and experience of Lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies is highly desirable
- Knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local health, safety and environmental regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service and satisfaction to internal and external customers.
- Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal (Spanish speaking is desirable)
The pay range for this position is $190,000 - $250,000. Actual pay will depend upon skill set, experience, and location.
