Head of Application (Water Distribution: Europe)

Grundfos is looking for a Global leader, someone passionate about delivering high quality results and an expert collaborator focused on our customer needs.

What’s the job about:

As our Head of Application for Water Distribution, your role will be to ensure the overall success of the Application and its associated products and solutions.

You will lead a cross- functional team by determining priorities, managing resources effectively, and ensuring seamless collaboration with all stakeholders.  You will establish sprint priorities and goals, evaluate and decide on the continuation of application areas, maintain clear communication lines with stakeholders and address any issues within functional teams proactively.  Focusing on maximizing the value of applications by setting strategic directions and directing long-term strategies, ensuring effective management of our application portfolio.

This role can be based anywhere in Europe

Your main responsibilities

• Understand the value chain, profit pools, trends, competitive landscape, customer needs, and strengths across the regions.
• Develop detailed multi-year strategies, coordinate them with relevant product and regional strategies, and plan actionable steps.
• Define and prioritize product activities, monitor product health, and manage partnerships effectively.
• Explore new opportunities for growth, pilot new business ideas, and gather feedback.
• Monitor and improve product costs, and identify and implement cost-saving measures.
• Enable sales teams, develop sales tools, train sales forces, monitor application performance, and suggest improvements.
• Create performance reports, monitor KPIs, orchestrate SIOP, and provide input for financial planning.
• Identify and mitigate micro risks; estimate the impact of macro risks.
• Coordinate activities with stakeholders, ensure cross-functional collaboration, and communicate effectively.
• Align actions with sustainability goals, track metrics, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Optimize supply chain operations, manage inventory, and coordinate manufacturing capacity.

As our new Head of Application, you will strive for operational excellence and ensure your team provides first-class technical knowledge.

We imagine you may also have:

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Fluent in English (verbal and written)
• Extensive Industry experience in business, preferably in large manufacturing
• Strong influencing skills with senior leaders
• Proven track record in driving profitable initiatives
• Experience with digital solutions and offerings
