Senior Aftermarket Sales Engineer

As our new Senior Aftermarket Sales Engineer, you will be driving aftermarket sales growth across the California territory by expanding service agreements, promoting digital services, and positioning Grundfos as the trusted partner for pump repairs, maintenance, and aftermarket solutions. What you will be doing

As a key part of the Aftermarket Sales team, you'll create impact by Building strong relationships with key decision makers and expanding Grundfos' aftermarket market share across water, wastewater, industrial, and building services sectors in California. This position will be a remote role, and one must reside in the SF Bay area or LA to cover the California region.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Lead the service and aftermarket sales process for assigned customers and territory, focusing on growing service agreements, digital services, and pump repair business to meet sales quota and profit objectives
  • Call on customers within the California territory to increase awareness of Grundfos aftermarket capabilities, prepare quotations, and negotiate pricing in accordance with company guidelines
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with target decision makers, serving as a value-added technical resource and promoting the Grundfos brand
  • Perform troubleshooting, support emergency callouts, and assist with equipment startup and customer training as needed
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive conditions, and market intelligence, providing recommendations on product changes and new opportunities to leadership
  • Collaborate closely with sales and service delivery teammates to ensure seamless customer experiences and consistent revenue growth

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a results-driven sales professional with deep technical knowledge of pumps and rotating equipment, a strong customer-first mindset, and the ability to independently manage a territory while juggling multiple priorities with accuracy and urgency. We would also imagine that you have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent combination of technical training, education, and experience)
  • 5-7 years of sales or engineering experience in an aftermarket business environment within water, wastewater, industrial, or building services
  • Strong knowledge of centrifugal and vertical turbine pumps, pump hydraulics, controls, and rotating equipment operation, installation, and maintenance
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and product sizing software

It is a plus if you also:

  • Experience selling and managing long-term service agreements and digital service offerings
  • Ability to work with detailed specifications and industry standards for equipment selection
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 50% within the California territory

You'll also be available for travelling up to 125 days per year.

The salary range for this position is $86,000.00 - $136,000.00. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Grundfos’s total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc. Grundfos salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in this region.

 

Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
