Purpose of the Job

As an Sales Engineer, Industry, you will be responsible in handling sales within assigned business scope within the framework of the strategies and policies of the company. You will be responsible for designated business area - industry Asia Pacific department. This role will be based in our office in Fukuoka, or kumamoto Japan.






  • Main target is to realize individual sales target in assigned area. Implementation of sales policies, procedures and systems to ensure compliance with corporate policies

  • Follow up on unit/project sales from quotation stage to awarding stage. Ensure that final pump set selection is appropriate to client's application by calculation.

  • Maintain existing customer base and assist in developing plans, budget and promotional activities.

  • Ensure full and proper documentation to be handed over to customer service and engineering team during order processing.

  • Achieve agreed marketing goals, sales volumes and contribution targets.

  • Register all activities with customers in the global CRM tool; Register and support opportunities in the global CRM tool according to company guidelines; Ensure customer master data is updated on portfolio of customers under their responsibility.

  • 見積もり段階から発注段階まで、ユニット/プロジェクトの売上をフォローする。最終的なポンプセットの選定は、計算してクライアントの用途に確実に適したものにする。
  • 既存の顧客基盤を維持し、計画、予算および販促活動の策定を補助する。
  • 注文処理の間、適切なすべての文書が、顧客サービス部門およびエンジニアリング部門に確実に渡るようにする。
  • 合意したマーケティング目標、販売台数および貢献目標を達成する。
  • 顧客との活動はすべて、グローバルCRM(顧客関係管理)ツールに登録する。会社のガイドラインに従って、グローバルCRMツールに販売機会を登録し、広げていく。顧客マスターデータが、自らの責任で、顧客のポートフォリオにおいて確実に更新されるようにする。
  • マネージャーから割り当てられるその他の任務を果たす。


Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Environment Engineering, Mechanical, Automation and other relevant majors.

  • Prefer minimum 3 years sales experience in the field of industrial products.

  • Technical knowledge and experience in system solution, industrial control or PLC will be preferred

  • Productive track of customer development and management as salesperson

  • Able to communicate effectively (listen and speak up) with all levels of the organization internally and with external partners/clients/customers

  • Ability to work in a systematic and organized manner

  • Self-motivated and requires minimal supervision

  • Well organized and structured

  • Willing to work within a given frame and follow processes and procedures

  • Able to work effectively in a global team environment – with colleagues across time zones and cultures



  • 工学、環境工学、機械、自動化等の関連専攻分野の学士号またはそれに相当する学歴。
  • 工業製品分野での3年以上のセールス経験者が望ましい。
  • システムソリューション、産業用制御、またはPLC(プログラマブル・ロジック・コントローラ)分野の専門知識および経験者が望ましい。
  • 販売要員としての、顧客開発・顧客管理の成功実績。
  • 社内のあらゆる組織階級および外部の協力会社/クライアント/顧客と、円滑にコミュニケーションが取れる(聴く、話す)方。
  • 体系的に組織での職務に取り組める方。
  • 自発的に、最低限の指示で働ける方。
  • 整然と計画的に取り組める方。
  • 与えられた枠組みの中で働き、プロセスおよび手順に従うことを厭わない方。
  • グローバルな会社という環境で、時差や文化の違いがあっても同僚と円滑に仕事をすることができる方。
