As our new Production Operator in Japan, you will be operating and maintaining production equipment to manufacture high-quality pump products, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality standards are consistently met at our Japan facility. What you will be doing

As a key part of the Japan Manufacturing Operations team, you'll create impact by Ensuring the reliable production of Grundfos products that deliver sustainable water solutions to customers across Japan and the Asia-Pacific region..

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Operate production machinery and assembly lines according to standard operating procedures and production schedules
  • Perform quality inspections on components and finished products, documenting results and flagging deviations
  • Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor troubleshooting of production equipment to minimize downtime
  • Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe, clean, and organized work environment (5S standards)
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets and continuous improvement goals
  • Accurately record production data, material usage, and any process irregularities in relevant systems

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a reliable, detail-oriented manufacturing professional with strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to quality and safety in a production environment. We would also imagine that you have:

  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Ability to read and follow technical work instructions and standard operating procedures
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 kg, and perform repetitive tasks
  • Proficiency in Japanese (business level or above) for daily communication and documentation

It is a plus if you also:

  • Experience operating CNC machines, assembly equipment, or automated production lines
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, Kaizen, or 5S methodology
  • Forklift or crane operation certification
