What is the job about?

As our new Purchasing Assistant in Gwang Ju Korea, you are responsible for administrative and communicative support to the Purchasing team and category manager. Your main tasks in this position will be to cover administrative support related to Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and Strategic Sourcing (STS) processes. You will report directly to the Purchasing Manager. The key activities in the role are described in the following.

 

Your main responsibilities

 

Strategic sourcing related activities: 

  • Support Category Management in various activities such as data analysis, preparation and coordination of negotiations. 
  • Create E sourcing events and support tendering process (RFI Request for Information, RFQ Request for Quotation, E auctions) and prepare an evaluation to support the Category Manager. 
  • Contract management (preparation, renew, etc.) and FWA (Framework Agreement)
  • Supporting development and implementation of a Category strategy.  
  • Assist in follow up on supplier performance such as cost, delivery, quality, lead time and sustainability performance or other specific KPI’s agreed with the supplier and suggest improvement activities in case performance targets are not met.  
  • Support implementation and follow-up on improvement activities agreed with suppliers. 
  • Carry out various data analysis using ERP-related systems or data sources and administrative tasks of ERP-related systems

  

Project support and administrative tasks:  

  • Ordering and follow up on samples requested and tool orders by Category Manager. 
  • Initiate and follow-up on the sample approval process and VPC (Verification of Product and Process Conformance)
  • Ensure supplier access to the online Supplier Portal and access to relevant specifications such as Grundfos drawings or standards. 
  • Responsible for processing documentation changes and engineering change management with suppliers. 
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining all purchasing-related master data in accordance with the best practices
  • Organize and facilitate meetings.
  • Other Ad on hoc

 

Your background:

        We imagine that you have: 

  • Knowledge of best practices and relevant practices, systems in administration and business support in Purchasing.
  • Ability to participate in a well-defined business process within Purchasing.
  • Fresh graduate and up to 2 years of similar work experience.
  • Ability to influence others and follow processes.
  • Some experience supporting key business initiatives
  • With Engineering education background
  • Good communication in English and Korean.
