What is the job about?

The Sales Engineer applies subject matter knowledge across functional areas they main responsibility is to develop sales and awareness of home pump portfolio and residential business pumps and systems in Mexico

 

This position reports directly to the Sales Manager and is ideally for daily remote operation in Baja California, MX. Please note that relocation for this position cannot be supported, and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in Mexico without assistance.

 

Your main responsibilities:

  • Maintain existing customer base and develop new customers (distributors, reps, installers), assist in developing plans, budget and promotional activities.
  • Follow up on unit/project sales from quotation stage to awarding stage.
  • Ensure proper and accurate costing based on company pricing strategy. 
  • Ensure that final pump set selection is appropriate to client's application by calculation.
  • Ensure full and proper documentation to be hand ed over to customer service and engineering team during order processing.
  • Participate in marketing activities such as Grundfos day in Customers facilities, trainings, etc. Achieve agreed marketing goals, sales volumes and contribution targets.
  • Work closely with Mx sales coordinator and Sales engineers team and Finance, 1 office, and Business Development team on account management.
  • Register all activities with customers in the global CRM tool
  • Register and develop opportunities in the global CRM tool according to company guidelines
  • Ensure customer master data is updated on portfolio of customers under their responsibility

 

Your background:

We imagine that you have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree and most likely to have 3-5 years of relevant commercial work experience before entering level besides formal education.
  • English medium level (ability to receive training, write communications, read technical/commercial documents, verbal communication with others)
  • Solid knowledge of the plans, processes and activities in a Domestic Building Services environment.
  • Highly capable of impacting the perspectives of others.
  • Possess a great understanding of the relevant systems, local laws and regulations where applicable, for the Domestic Building Services.
