Global Vendor Planner Specialist
Job Description

What is the job about?

  • The purpose of the Vendor Planner is to execute cross plant supply, inventory planning.  Be a key participant or driver in essential cross plant supply planning tasks, as ordering, follow-ups, forecasting, alignment with vendors, handling of invoice misalignment issues . Participate in activities related to vendor development and deployment of best practices within operational planning. Responsible for short, mid and long term capacity management with selected vendors (execution, SIOE and SIOP horizon,  - not strategy and commercial planning/role) and input to SIOP/SIOE

 

Your main responsibilities:

Cross plant supply planning: 

  • Together with local plants production planning regional vendor planning ensure feasible plans are created timely to keep sufficient inventory levels and stock optimization across the chain, shared with relevant stakeholders and applied.
  • All the documentation and registration process regarding purchase orders (eg: invoice discrepancy, PPO registration)
  • Order and schedule handling to vendors behalf of all Grundfos plants for vendors in scope
  • Align delivery schedules with vendors based on production plans and priorities.
  • Daily driver role towards selected vendors in the chain in matters related to operational planning.
  • Handle exceptions affecting the purchase plan, e.g. quality issues, breakdowns, delivery changes, allocations, red alerts
  • Ensure high master data quality within area of responsibility.

Supply optimization:

  • Participate in medium, relatively high-complexity meetings in the SIOP cycle (chain SIOP, Plant meetings, Vendor capacity reviews).
  • Contribute with input and recommendations in the SIOP cycle (Vendor related escalations, scenarios, strategic stock approvals).
  • Drive and participate in implementation and deployment of continuous improvements with regional/global impact.
  • Continuously improve execution of job role related practices and methods based on performance and process indicators.
  • Collect, distribute and present supply chain data for performance reporting and analytics.
  • Involvement in development projects/ design changes
  • Aligning and optimizing planning parameters, profiles, MRP set-ups, master data across plants for scope materials and vendors.
