As our new Senior Health and Safety Specialist, you will be leading and managing site Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, driving compliance with OSHA, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards while championing a culture where every employee goes home safely. What you will be doing:

 

As a key part of the Environmental Health & Safety team, you'll create impact by Driving measurable improvements in workplace safety and compliance, ensuring our people, contractors, and visitors are protected every day.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Lead site EHS programs ensuring full compliance with OSHA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and corporate standards, advising management on compliance status and improvements
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments; investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive timely closure of corrective actions
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs including new hire orientation, ergonomics evaluations, powered industrial truck certification, and manual handling best practices
  • Serve as site Emergency Coordinator — develop contingency plans, lead emergency drills, and maintain accurate EHS records and regulatory reports
  • Lead the safety committee, harmonize EHS policies across the site, and partner with HR and Corporate EHS on workers' compensation and compliance programs
  • Use data and trend analysis to continuously improve SOPs, training effectiveness, and overall safety performance

What makes you a great fit:

 

Above all, you are a self-motivated safety professional with deep OSHA and ISO expertise, strong analytical skills for root cause investigations, and the communication presence to inspire a safety-first mindset across all levels of a manufacturing organization. We would also imagine that you have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in environmental health & safety, occupational Safety, or a related field is preferred, but experience in lieu of degree will be considered. 
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional EHS experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and industrial safety practices including machine guarding, chemical handling, HAZMAT, and forklift operations
  • Proven ability to conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations with root cause analysis
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. 

 

It is a plus if you also:

  • Professional certification such as CSP, ASP, or OHST
  • Experience with EHS management software systems and data-driven safety program improvement
  • Knowledge of workers' compensation protocols and employee care management

 

The salary range for this position is $100,700 to $146,590 per year.  Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Grundfos’s total compensation and benefits package for employees.
