Grundfos is looking for a Senior Health & Safety Specialist for our Fresno, CA facility. The Senior Health & Safety Specialist will lead and manage the site’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs ensuring compliance with all regulatory and corporate standards while fostering a proactive safety culture and minimizing risk to all employees, contractors and visitors. This position will report directly to the QHS&E Manager and will operate fully onsite out of our Fresno, CA facility.
Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. Your main responsibilities:
- Lead and manage site EHS programs ensuring compliance with OSHA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and corporate standards.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments, investigate accidents/incidents, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver safety training, new hire orientation, and foster a proactive safety culture across the plant.
- Serve as the site Emergency coordinator, develop contingency plans, lead emergency drills and maintain accurate EHS records and regulatory reports.
- Lead safety committee, harmonize EHS policies, and partner with HR and Corporate EHS on workers’ compensation and compliance programs.
Your Background:
We imagine that you have:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering in environmental, Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in health and safety, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and OSHAS 18001.
- Proven ability to conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations including root cause analysis.
- Ability to lead safety initiatives, inspire a safety culture, and influence behavior across all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
The salary range for this position is $97,497-$145,422. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Grundfos’s total compensation and benefits package for employees.
