Grundfos Pumps Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to join its Divisional Finance Operations- Water Utility team.  The Senior Finance Business Partner will be responsible for providing financial insights with a forward-thinking approach to the unit management team on strategic and tactical level when defining long and short term business plans, quantifying the plans and setting milestone targets. The Senior Finance Business Partner will be responsible of analyses, monitor, report and constructively challenges on financial performance within the performance unit. Will contribute with a constant focus on performance management and with high quality analysis to support business decision making. The Senior Finance Business Partner will collaborate with Finance Americas team. This position reports directly to the Senior Finance Manager, Water Utility Operations Finance and will operate on a hybrid schedule out of the Fresno, California facility.  


What is the job about? 

  • Proactively supporting and constructively challenges the management team in the definition and execution of business plans.
  • Contribute with constant focus on performance management and with high quality analysis strengthen the decision-making processes.
  • Being accountable for Finance in the performance unit and as such act as one point of contact for the management team
  • Ensure optimal contribution to Group Profitability on relevant dimensions
  • Secure in any business decision the financial value creation based on group profitability mindset and link to the overall strategy. 
  • Accountable for deploying and developing the financial acumen in all levels and functions of the performance unit.
  • Drive the financial performance management in the unit management team in the definition of both long term and short term KPIs and the selection of relevant measurements. Monitor and follow up on main KPIs and ensure that the unit management team is taking corrective actions, if needed.
  • Drive the financial planning process, hereunder prepare the annual budget, periodic forecasts including suggestions to corrective actions and participation in relevant stakeholder meetings.
  • Be accountable for supporting or driving Strategic initiatives/projects in the Performance unit.
  • Accountable on all financial matters in the performance unit, and take leadership in the finance community by involving, coaching, developing the relevant parties in FP&A, Shared service and Compliance controlling.


What do you need to apply? 

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or other related fields of study. Additionally, have a minimum of  4-5 years’ experience in Finance (before entering level), specifically in controlling activities. 

  • Controlling experience-the right candidate must be senior enough to be independent / autonomous (will collaborate with senior stakeholders)
  • Financial forecasting process experience
  • English proficiency
  • SAP / TM1 experience
  • Commercial controlling experience 
  • Fluency with Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to work closely with senior executives.
  • Solid managerial skills and a leadership style that is collaborative and supportive.
  • Demonstrated ability to function both as an individual contributor and as part of an integrated team.
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication sills including group presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of standard cost accounting practices.
  • Must be able to travel up to 5% if necessary. Thus, candidates should be able to maintain valid identification.
