Grundfos Pumps is seeking an Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join our team in Fresno, CA. 
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for managing the engineering resources and production projects for Grundfos Pump Manufacturing (GMU) looking after the continuous improvement on production process, product and equipment introduction with a global perspective.

  
The role will report to the Plant Director of our Fresno facility. 
Qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.

What is the job about? 
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will:

  • Participate and collaborate in the objectives, programs and procedures of health, safety and environment, in addition to the activities that are carried out to comply with the aforementioned.
  • Manage and control expense budget for Local Engineering Department.
  • Achieve productivity targets in the plant by coordinating, supporting and following up on execution of PRT action plans in order to improve and standardize manufacturing processes.
  • Assess and develop internal competencies within the engineering department based on the skills and competence matrix, career plan and PDD.
  • Elaborate and execute yearly investment (CAPEX) project plan based on Assessment and prioritization of needs in regard to EHS and facility requirements, Quality assurance, production & IT equipment and tooling, introduction of new technologies and digital solutions.
  • Promote and facilitate an environment of continuous improvement by supporting daily business and local initiatives such as problem solving, TPM, scrap reduction, labor productivity and Indirect to Value (ItV).

Responsible for driving the following processes locally:  

  • New Equipment Introduction (NEI) including feasibility study, budget, selection installation and project management.
  • VPC process rules and improvements.
  • Production technology management including equipment improvement and process documentation.

 

What do you need to apply?  
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Industrial or similar Engineering and a Master’s Degree or equivalent proven experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of similar experience in a supervision or leadership role in manufacturing.
  • Fluent English speaking, listening, and writing.
  • Change management experience.
  • Good people skills and shop floor presence.
  • Strong collaborator in an international environment.
  • Experience with LEAN manufacturing from relevant industries.
  • Experience managing in an engineer to order environment.
