As our new Shipping Specialist, you will be managing and coordinating international shipments from the United States to global destinations, ensuring compliance with U.S. export regulations while driving on-time delivery and cost-effective transportation solutions. This position reports directly to our Regional Shipping Operations Leader, Americas North and is based in Fresno, California facility operating daily.
Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. The salary range for this position is $53,300USD – 70,590USD. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Grundfos’s total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc. Grundfos salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in Fresno, California.
What you will be doing
As a key part of the Supply Chain Logistics team, you'll create impact by Ensuring our products reach customers worldwide on time and in full compliance, directly supporting Grundfos's mission to pioneer solutions to global water and climate challenges..
Your main responsibilities include:
- Prepare and manage export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading, and AES filings
- Verify HTS classifications, ECCN codes, and country-of-origin information to ensure full compliance with EAR, FTR, and Denied Party Screening requirements
- Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and customers while monitoring status and resolving delays or documentation issues
- Analyze transportation costs, optimize load capacity, and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
- Coordinate oversized U.S. freight movements in compliance with DOT regulations, monitoring carrier performance and addressing shipping constraints
- Collaborate with internal teams including Sales, Customer Service, Planning, Warehousing, and Manufacturing to support seamless order fulfillment
What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a detail-oriented logistics professional with strong knowledge of U.S. export regulations, a sense of urgency, and excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. We would also imagine that you have:
- 1-3 years of experience in export shipping, international logistics, or transportation
- Strong knowledge of U.S. export regulations (EAR, FTR) and international shipping procedures, including AESDirect filings
- Familiarity with Incoterms® and export documentation (BOL, AWB, SLI, Certificates of Origin)
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel
It is a plus if you also:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, International Trade, or a related field
- Experience with oversized freight coordination and DOT compliance
- Background in trade compliance audits and denied party screening processes
