Research & Development
Drawing Designer
Job Description

Join us as a Visual Design Specialist and help turn complex technical concepts into clear, compelling visuals that support our global development teams.

What is the job about?

In this role, you’ll transform detailed product information into precise CAD drawings, 2D/3D illustrations, and visual sequences that bring engineering ideas to life.

As a key contributor across our product portfolio, you’ll lead and refine the visual design process, ensuring high-quality output and consistency with technical standards. Collaboration is at the heart of the job—you’ll work closely with project engineers and technical communicators to ensure smooth, aligned delivery.

We’re looking for someone who stays curious and forward‑thinking. By exploring new design trends and tools, you’ll help elevate our customer experience with innovative, modern visual solutions.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Collection of the right product information from various people in our global development network
  • Ensuring that the correct data is available to make the CAD drawings and update the 2D, 3D illustrations and video sequencing (such as Product photos, explode drawings, sectional drawings, dimension drawings, curves etc.)
  • Supervise, lead and develop the process for the visual design on the portfolio of deliveries and that we adhere to technical standards
  • Manage timelines for assigned design tasks to make sure to deliver efficiently
  • Closely and proactively communicate and cooperate with project engineer or technical communicator
  • Provide innovative drawing solutions to meet the customer’s expectations and enhance customer experience
  • Up-to-date and interested in new design trends and long-term design perspectives

Your background:

We imagine that you have:

  • MSc or BSc degree in mechanical engineering is a plus but negotiable in case of strong CAD skills
  • Proficient in English
  • Strong communicative and information presentation capabilities related to drawing design.
  • Proficiency with drawing and 3D design software such as CATIA, Adobe illustrator, 3ds MAX
  • Ability to meet challenging deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Experience from a technical domain, such as electrical, mechanical, electronics or   software, is an added advantage
  • Knowledge about information management

What’s in it for you?

Whether it’s developing leadership skills or advancing your expertise even further, we’ll support you with continuous learning and development opportunities, to help discuss and steer your long-term Grundfos career path. You’ll be welcomed from day one into an inclusive, trusting environment guided by six core values.

In addition, your day-to-day benefits include:

  • If you’ll be working from your home office, we’ll make sure you are well equipped with a good workstation. However, you are always welcome to our offices where you can engage, learn, and have fun with colleagues.
  • On top of it, flexible working hours and up to 3 days’ additional paid leave for volunteering of your choice
  • Annual bonuses, health insurance, parental support, internal well-being consultants and programmes
  • Access to the modern Grundfos Academy to pursue further both personal and professional development.
  • Diverse, inclusive environment with employee-led forums offering colleagues a safe place to connect and share openly.
