As our new District Sales Manager- Municipal/Water Utility, you'll be driving territory growth by partnering with Grundfos Business Partners and direct accounts to deliver pumping solutions that strengthen municipal water and utility systems across your region. What you will be doing
As a key part of the Municipal Water Utility Sales team, you'll create impact by expanding Grundfos's presence in the municipal market through strategic territory management, partner development, and technical expertise that helps communities deliver reliable water services.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Partner with Business Partners in a sales support role through joint sales visits, trade shows, and technical consultation to accelerate the selling process
- Develop, maintain, and execute a comprehensive territory plan while continually assessing distribution channels and managing channel alignment
- Build deep knowledge of the business climate, applications, and competitive landscape for your defined geography and key accounts
- Deliver training on Grundfos products, applications, and sales processes to all levels of the sales channel including distributors and end users
- Maintain accurate data on partners, accounts, and activities in CRM systems and prepare reporting as needed to support business decisions
- Contribute to overall strategies and business direction of the Municipal business unit through active participation in staff meetings and planning sessions
What makes you a great fit
Above all, you're a technically skilled sales professional with deep knowledge of pumps, pumping systems, and the municipal water utility market, combined with proven ability to manage distribution partners and grow territory revenue. We'd also imagine that you are/have:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or technical discipline, or 5-7 years of experience in the municipal or pump industry with experience managing independent partners/distributors
- Demonstrated knowledge of pumps and pumping systems, including electronically controlled systems (VFDs, controllers) used in municipal water utility applications
- Professional sales skills including key account strategy development and territory planning
- Must have experience with the municipal sales process and project sales cycles
- Proven controls and automation experience, combined with the ability to support controls applications and successfully position, sell, and expand our digital solutions portfolio
- Must reside in Houston Metro (south/southeast preferred) area and will work on a remote schedule with accessibility to our Brookshire, Tx headquarters
It's a plus if you also:
- Experience with Dodge Reports or similar construction project tracking tools
- Strong presentation skills with ability to engage audiences of all sizes, both internal and external
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and aptitude for learning new systems and CRM platforms

The salary range for this position is $68,200.00 - $107,665.00. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc. The salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in this region.
