Founded in 1923, Peerless Pump Company (a Grundfos subsidiary) is a US-based manufacturer of horizontal and vertical centrifugal pumps for fire, industrial, and municipal applications. With pump installations in 145 countries, Peerless is globally recognized for engineering tough, reliable, and versatile pump solutions with extensive flow and pressure capabilities. With competitive benefits and a strong emphasis on development, growth, and innovation, Peerless employees come seeking a job but stay to build a career.

As our new District Sales Manager, you will be driving Peerless Pump fire business growth across a defined territory by delivering sales excellence to OEMs, national accounts, and distribution partners while living and representing the brand at every touchpoint.

You'll be part of a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture that celebrates our differences and puts people first by fostering growth, well-being, and a sense of belonging.

This position follows a remote work model and can be based anywhere in the United States.

What you will be doing

As a key part of the Fire Business Unit sales team, you'll create impact by expanding Peerless Pump market share in fire protection by developing territory strategies, strengthening distribution channels, and delivering expert product knowledge that empowers partners to win.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Grow Peerless Pump revenue by providing sales excellence to direct accounts and distribution partners, participating in closing orders and adding value throughout the selling process.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute a territory plan using the Grundfos Territory Planning Model to increase market share, leveraging deep knowledge of geography, markets, key decision makers, and competitors.
  • Assess distribution channels, evaluate partner performance, manage channel conflict, and ensure alignment with territory plans.
  • Deliver training on Peerless Pump products, applications, and sales processes to all levels of the sales channel, building partner self-sufficiency and brand consistency.
  • Lead implementation of Peerless Pump demand-shaping programs, standard lead time initiatives, and key customer-facing communications.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data, develop forecasts using Peerless Express, and report on activities and expenses using PowerBI, SAP, and Salesforce.

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a relationship-driven sales professional with strong technical acumen in fire protection, a proven ability to manage complex distribution channels, and the discipline to execute territory plans that deliver measurable growth. We would also imagine that you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or commercial discipline (e.g. engineering, business, or marketing) or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of sales experience in a similar industry with a proven track record of achieving results.
  • Technical knowledge of pumps, fire controllers, or similar products in the fire protection market.
  • Valid U.S. passport and valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time.

It is a plus if you also have:

  • Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce and reporting tools like PowerBI or SAP.
  • Demonstrated success managing distribution partner relationships and resolving channel conflict.
  • Knowledge of NFPA standards and fire protection industry dynamics.
