Customer Service Back Office Engineer - Water Utility Division

As our new Customer Service Back Office Engineer – Water Utility Division, you will provide technical support to customers and sales teams, helping ensure optimal product sizing, system solutions, and specifications for water utility applications.

What you will be doing

As part of the Customer Service & Solutions Centre (CSSC) Back Office team, you will deliver technical support that strengthens customer relationships and contributes to business growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide technical support on product sizing, applications, system solutions, accessories, installations, and pricing.
  • Handle customer inquiries and prepare accurate quotations in line with Grundfos service standards.
  • Support sales teams on tenders and projects with sizing, specifications, calculations, delivery information, and operation and maintenance guidance.
  • Identify business opportunities and refer them to external sales teams.
  • Contribute to value-added services that improve customer experience and relationships.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in technical customer support, application engineering, or a similar role, preferably within pumps, water systems, or industrial equipment.
  • Knowledge of product sizing, hydraulic calculations, and system design.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with CRM and ERP systems such as Salesforce or SAP.
  • Knowledge of water utility infrastructure, industry standards, and regulations.
  • Experience supporting tenders and project-based sales.

  • CCNL: Metalworking Industry and Plant Installation – Federmeccanica.
  • Indicative gross annual salary: EUR 37.000 – 52.000, depending on experience, skills, and market benchmarks.
  • Competitive total rewards package including bonus and benefits.
