Field Media Service Technician

As our new Field Media Service Technician, you will be leading field service crews in the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of air and water treatment systems at industrial and construction sites across the region. What you will be doing
As a key part of the Lifecycle Services team, you'll create impact by Delivering critical water and air treatment solutions that keep industrial operations running safely and sustainably while building lasting customer relationships..
Your main responsibilities include:
- Lead field crews in servicing, installing, and maintaining water and air treatment systems at customer locations across industrial and construction settings
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical equipment failures in the field and determine proper solutions independently
- Travel to job sites via vehicle or air, including driving company vehicles and towing equipment under 26,000 lbs, and operating truck-mounted and skid-mounted vacuum systems
- Prepare for and execute carbon exchange services, including positioning and connecting hoses and equipment
- Conduct onsite operator training for customers and provide ongoing technical support for operating systems and equipment
- Communicate proactively with technicians, contractors, and project managers to ensure schedules are met and promote Newterra's services for repeat engagements
What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a mechanically skilled, self-motivated field technician with strong leadership abilities, excellent customer service skills, and the physical stamina to thrive in demanding industrial environments. We would also imagine that you have:
- High school diploma or equivalent with a technical trade certificate, electrician, millwright qualification, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and valid passport for travel
- Proven mechanical aptitude with ability to diagnose and resolve equipment failures independently
- Ability to travel extensively Monday–Friday (including overnights) with some weekends, pass a D.O.T. Physical, qualify for respirator use, and lift 55 lbs
It is a plus if you also:
- CDL-A Driver's License and vacuum truck experience
- 3-5 years' experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems, with knowledge of water treatment processes (Media, MBR, RO, UF, Chemical Systems)
- Understanding of PLC programming and HMI logic (Allen Bradley, Automation Direct, Schneider, Honeywell) and prior OSHA/confined space certifications
You'll also be available for travelling up to 200 days per year.
