Are you passionate about engineering modular digital platforms that power the future of intelligent water solutions at global scale? Join us in pioneering smarter ways to move and transform water, reduce energy consumption, and improve quality of life.
As our new Chief Digital Architect, you will drive a “Platform‑first” philosophy by shaping the modular digital framework that lets Grundfos build world‑class water solutions from a unified library of high‑performance components. You’ll join a diverse, supportive culture that celebrates differences and puts people first through growth, well‑being, and belonging.
What you will be doing
As part of Architecture & Modularization, GT&I, you will bridge core technology research and commercial product development to ensure every digital offering is modular, scalable, and built for reuse.
Your key responsibilities:
• Define and govern global standards for Digital Building Blocks — APIs, UI components, data schemas — ensuring cross‑divisional compatibility
• Contribute to the Global Digital Reference Architecture so all new digital offerings follow “Modular by Design” principles
• Align our four divisions to eliminate duplicate efforts and maximize reuse
• Translate modularity risks, technical debt, and innovation opportunities into clear business value for leadership
• Act as architectural tie‑breaker for complex cross‑divisional decisions, fostering a “One Grundfos” engineering culture
• Maintain high‑level architectural alignment across cloud and ERP providers to keep our modular framework ahead of vendor roadmaps
What makes you a great fit
You are a systems thinker with deep technical expertise, a strong track record in modular architecture at scale, and the emotional intelligence to influence across a matrix organization. We imagine you have:
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar
• 10+ years in software engineering or IoT, including 5+ years leading architecture in a global organization
• Expertise in Cloud‑Native patterns (Azure/AWS) and Industrial IoT, bridging digital platforms and physical hardware
• Proven ability to lead through influence and translate digital concepts into business value
It is a plus if you also have:
• Experience with platform modularization in industrial or manufacturing environments
• A track record of scaling IoT‑connected asset platforms efficiently
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman) in product‑oriented settings
Why you will love working here
We care — and it shows. You can look forward to:
• Flexible hours, home‑working options, and parental support
• Annual bonuses, health insurance, and well‑being activities
• Three additional paid volunteer days
• Access to on‑demand learning and structured development programs
