As our new Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be managing end-to-end supplier quality activities for externally purchased parts — from controlling rejections and driving corrective actions to conducting audits and collaborating closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver measurable quality improvements. What you will be doing
As a key part of the Supplier Quality team, you'll create impact by Driving supplier performance and quality improvements that directly strengthen our manufacturing operations and product reliability..


Your main responsibilities include:
•    Control rejections in externally purchased parts through close supplier collaboration, driving corrective and improvement actions to achieve department KPIs
•    Conduct periodical supplier audits to assess and improve supplier quality capabilities
•    Supervise and direct technicians in day-to-day inspection activities, ensuring a safe and productive work environment
•    Maintain department documentation, inspection tools, and equipment to ensure measurement accuracy and compliance
•    Coordinate with Production, Plant Quality, Supply Chain, and Logistics teams to manage stakeholder expectations through timely communication and escalation
•    Participate in organization-driven projects and part development activities, supporting continuous improvement initiatives

 

What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a detail-oriented mechanical engineer with deep metrology expertise, strong supplier management skills, and 10+ years of hands-on experience in quality engineering within a medium or large engineering industry. We would also imagine that you have:
•    B.E. (Mechanical) degree with 10-12 years of experience in a medium or large engineering industry
•    Strong knowledge of metrology, inspection instruments, testing tools, and gauges
•    Proficiency in drawing reading, material properties, manufacturing processes, and surface treatment/coating processes
•    ERP handling skills (e.g., SAP) with good analytical thinking and written/spoken English proficiency
It is a plus if you also:
•    Experience conducting supplier audits and driving supplier corrective action processes
•    Team leadership or supervisory experience with a positive, collaborative mindset
•    Ability to handle stress and conflicting situations with strong observation skills
