As our new Software Development Engineer, you will be designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software for innovative pump and water technology products within our Research & Development organization. What you will be doing

As a key part of the Product Development Software Engineering team, you'll create impact by Building the embedded and connected software solutions that make Grundfos products smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable for millions of users worldwide.

 

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Design, develop, and test software for embedded systems and connected product platforms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, mechanical, and systems engineers to deliver integrated product solutions
  • Participate in code reviews, continuous integration, and agile development practices to ensure high software quality
  • Contribute to software architecture decisions and technical documentation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects across the full development lifecycle

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a collaborative and detail-oriented software engineer with strong fundamentals in embedded or application development and a drive to build products that matter. We would also imagine that you have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience using C, C++, or Python
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies including Agile/Scrum
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines

It is a plus if you also:

  • Experience with embedded systems development or IoT/connected product platforms
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and test-driven development
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as MQTT, Modbus, or CAN
