Job Description

Are you passionate about bridging complex embedded systems to create seamless, intelligent water solutions? Join us in pioneering smarter ways to move and transform water, reduce energy use, and improve quality of life.

As our Senior Embedded Integration Engineer, you’ll drive the integration of embedded software and hardware systems across Grundfos product platforms, ensuring reliable communication between subsystems and delivering robust, production‑ready solutions. You’ll be part of an inclusive culture that values diversity, growth, and well‑being.

What you will do

  • Design and implement integration architectures connecting embedded software, communication interfaces, and hardware platforms

  • Lead system‑level integration testing and debug cross‑domain issues spanning firmware, protocols, and sensors

  • Collaborate with software, electronics, and mechanical teams to define and validate integration requirements

  • Develop and maintain automated integration test frameworks for continuous verification

  • Resolve complex integration defects by analyzing system behavior across drivers, middleware, and applications

  • Contribute to architectural decisions on communication protocols, APIs, and interface standards

What makes you a great fit

You are a hands‑on integration specialist who thrives at the intersection of embedded software and hardware, with strong debugging instincts and a collaborative mindset. Ideally, you have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field

  • 9+ years in embedded systems development or integration, including Python scripting on resource‑constrained platforms

  • Proven experience in system‑level integration testing, root cause analysis, and cross‑functional debugging

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test infrastructure for embedded targets

Nice to have:

  • Experience with communication protocols (CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, Modbus, Ethernet)

  • Knowledge of RTOS environments (FreeRTOS, Zephyr) and embedded Linux

  • Experience with IoT connectivity standards or cloud‑connected embedded devices

Why you’ll love working here

  • Flexible hours, home working options, and parental support

  • Annual bonuses, health insurance, and well‑being activities

  • Three days’ paid leave for volunteering

  • Access to on‑demand training and structured development programs

We are inclusive! We welcome applications from all abilities, experiences, and backgrounds.
