As our new Software Development Engineer, you will be designing, developing, and testing embedded software for cutting-edge products, working with microcontroller architectures and communication protocols to deliver robust, high-quality solutions. What you will be doing
As a key part of the Embedded Software Development team, you'll create impact by Developing reliable embedded software that drives Grundfos products forward, directly contributing to sustainable water and energy solutions worldwide..
Your main responsibilities include:
•    Design, develop, and test embedded software components in C for microcontroller-based products, including display products
•    Develop and maintain communication drivers and protocols such as RS232, RS485, I2C, SPI, and Modbus
•    Perform hardware debugging and testing using oscilloscopes, multimeters, emulators, and OCD tools
•    Create and execute unit tests, support test automation, and contribute to continuous integration pipelines using Jenkins and Git
•    Produce high-quality technical documentation including high-level and low-level design specifications
•    Collaborate with global agile teams to deliver structured, modularized embedded software solutions

What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a hands-on embedded software engineer with strong C programming skills, a quality-first mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively across cultures while simplifying complex technical challenges. We would also imagine that you have:
•    B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electronics or related field with 4-7 years of embedded software development experience
•    Strong proficiency in Embedded C programming, RTOS concepts (e.g., ThreadX), and MCU architectures
•    Hands-on experience with communication protocols (RS232, RS485, I2C, SPI, Modbus) and hardware debugging tools
•    Experience with version control (Git), CI tools (Jenkins), and unit testing frameworks (e.g., CPPUnit)
It is a plus if you also:
•    Experience with Renesas MCU families (RX, V850, RL78) and IAR Embedded Workbench
•    Experience with software development and test automation for display products
•    Proficiency in Python for scripting and test automation
