Grundfos India is seeking for a Head of Projects for the Industry Segment. A newly created role for an experienced leader and project management professional.

 

What is the job about?

 

The Head of Projects primary responsibility is to lead the project team towards delivering projects - from proposal to commissioning. ensuring customer satisfaction. The project team is located throughout India so a key successfactor is to be able to drive a truly international and productive team with high satisfaction in a virtual environment.

 

The Head of Projects must ensure profitable projects and ensure best practices are implemented to increase productivity. The head is expected to build and maintain strong relationships to the sales organisation across the areas. The head will be part of the Regional Sales Management team and take part in defining strategic and tactical initiatives for the Region

 

Specifically, you will work to

 

  • Accountable for the project team that drives end to end delivery of tailormade customer solutions within the larger projects not managed by CSSC – from proposal to project delivery.
  • Responsible for that the team are utilizing the agreed systems and project execution processes, timely and with high quality.
  • Support, motivate, energize, challenge and develop the team to maximise the project sales effort and effectiveness. This includes PDD’s, people management, development and coaching (Grow & Win meetings) within the department.
  • Prepare annual budget and contribute to the regional budget process.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, conduct risk assessment and profitability on the projects.
  • Select and manage sub-suppliers and sub-contractors with supply agreements and ensure alignment of service levels.
  • Ensure contracts are compliant with Grundfos T&C – having dialogues with Legal Business partner.
  • Proactively engage with managers within the region with the development of project delivery activities locally.
  • Handle customer issues, if and when these arise.
  • Responsible for handover documentation in line with the agreed format and standards
  • Work with the Finance / Credit Control Team to secure on time payment.
  • Other ad hoc tasks or projects as and when required.

 

Your Background

 

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering/Master’s degree in Business, Project Management and/or engineering combined with at least 15-20 years of relevant experience from a large international company working in a similar role.
  • Proven track record in project management with a focus on overseeing the end to end process
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with the project vision and goals
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and other languages a plus
