We are looking for diverse people with a ‘can-do’ attitude and a genuine customer journey approach to join our Grundfos family in Chennai. Reporting directly to the Senior Regional Sales Director, Industry – IMEA/Country Director based in Turkey, the qualified candidate will support sales leaders to optimize inventory flow and ensure products or services are available to optimize customer satisfaction with relation to supply chain by being main driver of SIOP process.

 

What is the job about?

 

As a Demand Planner you will be responsible for facilitating and driving the consensus process with cross function groups (Sales, Marketing, Product Management & Finance) to determine an accurate forecast of anticipated demand by product category. This individual will play an integral role within the commercial team for ensuring unconstrained demand is captured and based on credible information and analyses, and that short-term and long-term forecasts are aligned. 

 

Other responsibilities include the following activities:

  • Coordinate product demand (number of pieces, portfolio) within the monthly SIOP process (sales, inventory & operations planning)
  • Ensure feasible plans are created timely and shared with relevant stakeholders
  • Participate in or facilitate medium, relatively high-complexity meetings in the SIOP cycle.
  • Contribute with input and recommendations in the SIOP cycle.
  • Be a key participant in cross-functional improvement projects or policies and standards.
  • Ensure high master data quality within area of responsibility.
  • Drive and participate in implementation and deployment of continuous improvements with regional/global impact.
  • Collect, distribute and present supply chain data for performance reporting and analytics.
  • Drive presentations and discussions of tasks and initiatives with members on higher management levels and with potential of regional/area impact.
  • Transfer requests to the production plants internationally
  • Cooperate with distribution centers and production plants
  • Control inventory and delivery times

 

Your Background

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain/Logistics or related technical field
  • 8-12 years of relevant demand planning or sales forecasting experience
  • Experience from Grundfos working in an internal/external sales role with relevant responsibilities
  • Experience providing developed processes within Reporting, Market- and Data Analysis and reporting.
  • Experience of working with partners, managing and assessing the performance based on defined criteria.
  • Solid knowledge of the plans, processes and activities within the functional area of Sales, Data Analysis and reporting.
  • Possess a great understanding of the relevant systems, Sales Management Processes; Helping Sales Sell, Value Selling, Virtual Selling, SIOP, order management .
