What is the job about?
- The Service Technician has the functional responsibility for all service workshop activities i.e. planning and execution of the products received at Grundfos workshop.
- He is responsible for customer satisfaction in the assigned area; He is technical accountable and works -independently or together with team to address customer requests in an efficient and professional manner.
Main responsibilities:
• Makes a risk assessment for every task
• Reports matters related to Safety, Health and Environment;
• Disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, repair and replacement parts and re- assemble pumps, pumps systems and accessories in a field service or work shop environment.
• Ensure warranty claims are dealt with in a fair and timely manner for all parties concerned ensuring that due process is followed and all necessary Administration
tasks are completed to ensure traceability of jobs and hours allocated
• Ensure timely and accurate input and analysis of data through SAP and FAS so that issues are monitored and resolved as quickly and effectively as possible
• Accurately capture failure data and record all failures in standard Grundfos reporting tools and the FAS system
• Ensure quick turn around and reliability of repair of serviced products
• Develop a continuous improvement approach to service repair and implement corrective actions
• Provide back-up support for the handling of incoming calls on service and technical enquiries
• Perform workshop equipment servicing when required
• Maintain a high level of customer communication with regards to open and pending service jobs
• Maintain a high level of professionalism in the execution of the role and in all customer communications
• Prepares inputs for quoting out-of-warranty repairs.
• Collects installed base information.
• Continues learning and development to build up hands-on service capability.
Your Background:
- Should have completed Diploma/ ITI with 4-5years for experience in Customer Service portfolio.
- Work in Service Portfolio & conversant with field services for handling Customer Service Complaints
- Business understanding and a global mind-set
- Technical education knowledge of electrical/mechanical engineering
- Work Experience in Service Workshop & On filed service for handling Customer Service Complaints
- SAP experience preferred
- Ability to participate in work with processes or projects within the service environment.
