As our new Quality Engineer, you will be managing customer complaints end-to-end, analyzing quality performance data, and championing continuous improvement across manufacturing processes to elevate customer satisfaction. What you will be doing
As a key part of the Quality team, you'll create impact by Driving preventive quality culture and process excellence that directly improves customer satisfaction and manufacturing performance across Grundfos operations.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Lead the management and timely closure of customer complaints using 8D and QIP methodologies, tracking CQI and IQI performance indicators
- Collect, analyze, and report key quality performance data (FTT, Scrap, Kaizen) to identify issues and drive process improvements internally and across sister companies
- Oversee implementation of SCC, Control Plans, and Work Instructions while ensuring continuous improvement of these processes
- Conduct regular customer visits to understand quality expectations and develop actionable improvement plans based on their feedback
- Develop quality plans for new product introductions, ensuring project key requirements are met through APQP and PPAP disciplines
- Mentor new employees and quality technicians on customer quality knowledge and the application of quality tools such as 8D, QIP, and 5W2H
What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a detail-oriented quality professional with 3+ years of manufacturing experience, deep expertise in quality management systems, and the communication skills to bridge customer expectations with production realities. We would also imagine that you have:
- 3+ years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing (equipment, facilities, or automotive industries), with a degree in engineering or automation
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and hands-on experience with FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, 8D, APQP, PPAP, MSA, and PDCA
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings
- Fluent in written and spoken English with strong communication and teamwork skills
It is a plus if you also:
- Experience with IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 audit standards
- CMM measurement skills and assembly process experience
- 6-Sigma project experience (Green Belt or above)
