Leadership
Production Supervisor
Job Description

Are you a  hands on production leader who thrives on solving complex shop-floor challenges and driving continuous improvement in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment? Then join our mission to pioneer smarter water solutions that reduce energy use and improve lives. As our new Production Supervisor, you'll be managing and optimizing painting, testing, and packaging operations that ensure our products meet the highest quality and safety standards before reaching customers worldwide.

What you will be doing

As a key part of the Production Operations team, you'll create impact by leading testing bottleneck optimization and cross-functional improvement initiatives that directly expand production capacity and operational excellence at our Changshu plant.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate daily production across painting, testing, and packaging processes, ensuring plan achievement aligned with actual capacity and priorities
  • Lead continuous improvement (CI) projects targeting testing bottleneck optimization through lean production, automation, and process simplification
  • Manage on-site personnel including team leaders and operators, developing job rotation and training plans to build multi-skilled teams
  • Drive cross-departmental coordination to resolve material issues, special cases, and production anomalies with timely escalation and follow-through
  • Implement and maintain EHS policies, 5S standards, and safe production practices across all supervised areas
  • Track, analyze, and resolve production failures and quality deviations, distinguishing critical issues from secondary concerns to prioritize effectively

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you're a results-oriented production management professional with strong problem-solving instincts, proven CI project experience, and the ability to lead teams through ambiguity in a non-standardized, multi-variety manufacturing setting. We'd also imagine that you are/have:

  • Bachelor's degree or above with 5+ years of production management experience in manufacturing enterprises
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience leading continuous improvement (CI) projects within a factory environment — not just maintaining daily operations
  • Strong on-site problem-solving ability suited to high-mix, low-volume production with frequent process variations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic English reading ability for simple email communication

It's a plus if you also:

  • Prior shop-floor management experience in testing, painting, or packaging (back-end) processes
  • Experience with water pump testing or familiarity with pump product structures and assembly workflows
  • Background in foreign-invested or multinational manufacturing companies

Why you'll love working here

Day to day, you can look forward to:

  • A supportive flexible working environment
  • Annual bonuses, health insurance and a strong focus on well-being activities.
  • Three days' additional paid leave for volunteering.
  • On-demand training and structured development programmes to support your growth.

Valuing our differences helps us see possibilities where others can't. We therefore welcome and encourage applications from all abilities, experiences, and backgrounds. As part of our commitment to a safe and compliant hiring process, final candidates may be required to undergo a background check, subject to applicable local laws and regulations.
