Manufacturing
Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description

Are you a hands-on manufacturing engineer who thrives on optimising production processes while coaching and developing the next generation of engineering talent? Then join us in our mission to pioneer smarter solutions for moving and transforming water, reducing energy consumption, and enhancing quality of life for people.

As our new Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will be leading the design, optimisation, and industrialisation of manufacturing processes while mentoring a team of engineers and technicians to deliver measurable improvements in safety, quality, cost, and delivery. You'll be part of a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture, that celebrates our differences and puts people first by fostering growth, well-being, and a sense of belonging.

What you will be doing

As a key part of the Manufacturing Engineering team, you'll create impact by Driving process excellence and building engineering capability across our production operations, directly improving how we manufacture solutions that help the world's water and climate challenges..

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Lead the design, optimisation, and validation of new and existing manufacturing processes — defining process parameters, layouts, standards, and control strategies that deliver stable, capable production
  • Drive New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from concept through to industrialisation, managing process readiness, validation, and seamless handover to production teams
  • Mentor, coach, and develop Engineers, technicians, and apprentices — upholding engineering standards and ensuring consistent technical practices across the team
  • Conduct capability studies, cycle-time analysis, and cost-reduction evaluations using data-driven approaches to identify and implement productivity and quality improvements
  • Lead structured root cause investigations using Ishikawa, 5 Why, and other recognised problem-solving frameworks
  • Champion Lean methodologies, facilitate continuous improvement workshops, and create robust process documentation including SOPs, control plans, and PFMEAs

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a technically strong and people-oriented manufacturing engineer with proven shop-floor credibility, a track record of leading process improvement and NPI in industrial environments, and genuine passion for developing others. We would also imagine that you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related discipline)
  • 5+ years' experience in manufacturing or process engineering within industrial, automotive, mechanical, or high-tech production environments
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement, NPI, DfM, PFMEA, capability analysis, and Lean/CI methodologies
  • Proven people leadership experience — coaching, mentoring, or managing engineers, technicians, or small teams

It is a plus if you also:

  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems in a manufacturing context
  • Familiarity with TPM, 5S, and structured workshop facilitation

Why you will love working here

We care! Day to day, you can look forward to:

  • A working environment built around your needs, with flexible hours, home working opportunities and parental support.
  • Annual bonuses, health insurance and a strong focus on well-being activities.
  • Three days' additional paid leave for volunteering in your community.
  • Access to on-demand training and learning sessions and carefully structured programmes to pursue personal and professional development opportunities.

We are inclusive! Celebrating and valuing our differences helps us see possibilities where others can't. We therefore welcome and encourage applications from all abilities, experiences, and backgrounds.
