Grundfos is seeking a Service Specialist to join our Service & Solutions team. Are you up for the challenge?

What is the job about?

As a Service Specialist at Grundfos, you will be responsible for providing technical and administrative support for our electromechanical pumping equipment, including its control panel. This will involve both remote and on-site diagnosis and repair, as well as technical support via email, calls or messages. Your technical expertise will be a crucial part of your role, as around 60% of the job requires technical skills. Additionally, you will be responsible for applying this knowledge to provide effective after-sales services in the local/area markets for Grundfos.

You will be responsible for maintaining service programs, troubleshooting methodologies for existing products, and ensuring that you constantly demonstrate an understanding of customer needs. Although primarily a technical role, around 40% of the Service Specialist role will involve administrative tasks. You will be working within a functional area or unit, collaborating closely with other members of the team. Overall, this role will be key to ensuring that we continue to deliver innovative services and solutions to our customers.

This position reports directly to the Service Manager and will operate daily out of the Cancún, MX facility. Qualified candidates must have authorization to work in Mexico without support.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise for after-sales service, troubleshooting pumps and pumping systems, and offering practical solutions and assistance to customers and business partners.
  • Maintain and ensure the accuracy of service-related literature.
  • Provide product training and technical support to customers and colleagues, both for new and existing products and their applications.
  • Collaborate with product introduction and quality teams to ensure that service-related feedback is incorporated into new product designs and quality initiatives.
  • Analyze failure data and report findings to support corrective action activities.
  • Develop service-related procedures and work instructions to streamline service processes, ensuring consistency across the global service network.

Your background:

We imagine that you have:

  • A professional degree in Engineering related to Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial Systems, Mechatronics or related field of study.
  • Experience in maintenance of electromechanical equipment. Field experience is required.
  • Experience in pumps is not a requirement; candidates with experience in Overhead Cranes, Elevators, Chillers, Boilers, Industrial Compressors, etc. may also be considered.
  • Intermediate to advanced level English language skills.
  • Experience in providing technical support, product training, and customer service is desirable.
  • The candidate should be able to work individually and collaboratively within a team.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.

What’s in it for you?

Whether it’s developing leadership skills or advancing your expertise even further, we’ll support you with continuous learning and development opportunities, to help discuss and steer your long-term Grundfos career path. You’ll be welcomed from day one into an inclusive, trusting environment guided by six core values.

In addition, your day-to-day benefits include:

  • Flexible working hours and up to 3 days’ additional paid leave for volunteering of your choice
  • Annual bonuses, health insurance, internal well-being consultants and programmes
  • Access to the modern Grundfos Academy to pursue further both personal and professional development
