Peerless Pump Company, an Indianapolis based subsidiary of Grundfos, is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join its Vertical Turbine Pump Assembly team.

As our new CNC Programmer, you will be creating and optimizing CNC programs for multi-axis mills, lathes, and machining centers, working closely with manufacturing engineers and shop floor personnel to maximize throughput, quality, and efficiency. What you will be doing
As a key part of the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team, you'll create impact by Driving manufacturing excellence by developing optimized machining programs that reduce waste, improve quality, and keep our production running at peak performance.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Create and optimize CNC programs using G&M codes, selecting proper tooling and developing setup sheets for multi-axis mills, lathes, and machining centers
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints and collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to support new and existing production requirements
- Control operating expenses by identifying root causes of waste and taking action to eliminate scrap, tool damage, and material loss
- Requisition special tools, tool holders, fixtures, and supplies to meet production needs and maintain uninterrupted operations
- Provide hands-on training and technical support to shop floor personnel on programming and machining best practices
- Maintain clear communication across the organization by keeping stakeholders informed through reports, records, and cross-functional collaboration
What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a detail-oriented CNC programming expert with deep knowledge of multi-axis machining, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
We would also imagine that you have:
- Minimum 5 years of experience programming multi-axis mills, lathes, and machining centers
- Proven background machining advanced metallurgies including stainless steel, Inconel, Hastelloy, and titanium
- Hands-on CAD/CAM experience including probing cycles for multi-axis lathes and mills
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical documentation
It is a plus if you also:
- Experience working with multiple machine tool platforms and control systems
- Demonstrated ability to train and mentor shop floor machinists and operators
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies

The salary range for this position is $70,600-$101,085 (salaried, exempt). Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Peerless Grundfos’s total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc. Peerless Grundfos salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in Indianapolis, Indiana.
