We’re looking for a Sales Engineer to join our team based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Reporting to the Sales Manager WU, this role requires candidates to already hold work authorization in Argentina.

 

What is the job about?

As a Sales Engineer, you will play a key role in managing and growing relationships with local Water Utility (WU) key customers, ensuring satisfaction and alignment with Grundfos’ strategic goals. You will be responsible for driving sales performance, managing customer projects, and securing a strong market presence through proactive engagement with designers, contractors, dealers, and other stakeholders.

 

This role involves coordinating cross-functional efforts, supporting project execution, and leveraging available tools to maximize customer value. You will also contribute valuable market insights to guide local and regional strategies, while simplifying communication and enhancing customer experience across all touchpoints.

 

Your main responsibilities:

  • Manage key accounts daily to drive customer satisfaction, loyalty, and achieve annual sales targets.
  • Develop and execute annual key account (KA) plans in collaboration with the local WU Sales Manager.
  • Lead and coordinate medium to large-scale projects, ensuring Grundfos is positioned as the preferred solution provider.
  • Identify and convert high-potential prospects into key accounts.
  • Support the development of specialized WU partners for smaller projects and set performance targets.
  • Collaborate with design teams to boost Grundfos’ presence in project specifications.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and project data in CRM systems.
  • Prepare monthly reports on key account performance and project progress.
  • Work closely with engineering, service, and sales teams to prioritize support and ensure customer satisfaction.

 

Your background

We imagine that you have:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in engineered product sales, with at least 3–4 years in external sales and customer management.
  • Strong understanding of the Water Utility sector, including the full sales cycle and key stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to present and communicate effectively across various organizational levels and backgrounds.
  • Skilled in networking and influencing throughout the sales value chain.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and team-oriented mindset with a results-driven approach.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Solid command of Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50–70 days per year.
