Senior Finance Controller

What is the job about?

Senior Financial Controller contributes to the Finance organization with a high degree of financial, accounting and system insight. The Senior Finance Controller role requires broad subject matter expert knowledge in finance and accounting with a high degree of technical and business insight as well as developing initiatives with an impact across units  at regional level.

 

Your main responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of both local and group financial records for all entities
  • Execute highquality monthend and yearend closing activities within required deadlines
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for financial matters within the local entities
  • Monitor and ensure financial compliance with all applicable state regulations
  • Review and reconcile balance sheet and P&L accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Safeguard full compliance of the entities with relevant local regulatory requirements
  • Follow up on all mandatory tax payments to governmental authorities (e.g., social security, VAT, etc.)
  • Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring all activities align with the Grundfos Internal Audit Handbook and that external audit requirements are met on time
  • Verify, analyze, and explain group reporting (P&L, balance sheet) in collaboration with GFSS
  • Collaborate with GFSS and support employees on matters related to group requirements and finance processes
  • Work closely with external consultants on the preparation and submission of CIT, SFS, and other required reports to the Tax Office
  • Collaborate with other departments in the local company to ensure alignment with financial policies in the business
  • Contribute to ongoing projects and continuous improvement initiatives, providing support to the FEX Team whenever required

 

Your background:

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in regional or global level
  • Bachelor degree (finance sphere)
  • Minimum 6-7 years of experience
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point and SAP
  • Knowledge of accounting  and financial reporting principles
  • Advanced knowledge of English language
