As a Senior Finance Business Analyst, you will design and deliver end‑to‑end analytical solutions that bridge financial insight and strategic decision‑making across the business.
What you will be doing
As a key part of the Finance Business Partnering, WU EU team, you'll create impact by Translating complex financial analyses into actionable insights that sharpen performance management and strengthen business decision-making across our European operations.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Analyse financial data to identify trends and forecasts, linking internal and external factors to their impact on consolidated financial performance
- Support quarterly forecasts and yearly budgets, including calculations, data inputs, and regular follow-up on plan realization
- Act as the direct support of the Finance Business Partners supporting the close partnering with and operational leaders to optimize integration between finance and the business, strengthening business acumen on both sides
- Be the subject matter expert of the digitalization actions in the department helping the FBP and the WU Finance Director to improve efficiency.
- Define specifications for business analyses together with stakeholders, then configure and deliver the analytical solution end-to-end
- Conduct root-cause analyses and continuous-improvement initiatives to enhance data quality, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency
- Communicate complex findings in clear, actionable formats that enable business leaders to make informed decisions
What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a detail-oriented finance professional who combines deep analytical capability with the ability to tell a compelling story with data. We would also imagine that you have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field - or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or a similar analytically focused finance role
- Overall accounting knowledge and the ability to navigate complex system landscapes to derive accurate conclusions
- Proven ability to structure and communicate complex analyses clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Advanced skill in traditional analysis tools (e.g. Excel) but also passion for cutting edge solutions like AI analysis tools and agents
It is a plus if you also:
- Experience with BI/analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud) and modern reporting platforms
- Background in a manufacturing or industrial environment with exposure to operational finance
- A continuous-improvement and digital-first mindset with a track record of enhancing analytical processes
