Senior Finance Business Analyst

What is the job about? 

The Senior Finance Business Analyst will be the vital link between our collective repository of financial data and our business objectives by supporting and ensuring the successful building up, testing and deploying of analytical standards or ad hoc queries relevant for our business.

Together with the relevant stakeholders in the business, the Senior Finance Business Analyst will be defining specifications for business analyses and configuring the solution.

The relationship with and communication to Finance Business Partners and other business stakeholders is key. The Senior Finance Business Analyst will be working with Finance Business Partners or directly up against the business stakeholders to optimize and enhance our integration and thusly improving business acumen both ways.

Conclusions from potentially very complex analyses requiring deep accounting and/or system technical insights must flow to the recipients in an easy to understand format enabling business stakeholders to take decisions as opposed to spending time understanding or questioning the content.

The Senior Finance Business Analyst contributes with constant focus on performance management and providing the necessary insight about accounting and our system landscape supporting the decision-making processes.

Location: Budapest or Székesfehérvár

Among other exciting tasks, you will:

• Studying financial data, attempting to spot trends, patterns and make forecasts. Senior Finance Business Analysts link the consequences of any internal or external factor influencing the business to the consequential impact to our consolidated financial statements as well as our performance management systems.
• Ensuring quality in data and rationale for deriving conclusions is of vital importance and being able to conduct root cause analysis and working on continuous improvements.
• Examining the data of internal or external data sources and using their findings to help the finance business partners to impact business decisions. These analyses will span from focusing on longer term investment-related business decision to short term day-to-day operations of the business.
• Helping a function or a performance unit to make business decisions or pro-actively act on discovered trends or they are called upon to spot inefficiencies and to find opportunities for the company's operations to be continuously improved.   

What do you need to apply?

• You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
• You hold relevant 4-5 years of work experience 
• You have experience with any data analysis tools
• You have high level of English and excellent Excel skills
• You enjoy working cross-culturally and have excellent collaboration attitude
