Logistics, Supply Chain & Purchasing
Planner
Job Description

Are you passionate about orchestrating supply chain operations that ensure the right products reach the right place at the right time? Then join us in our mission to pioneer smarter solutions for moving and transforming water, reducing energy consumption, and enhancing quality of life for people.

As our new Supply Chain Planner, you will play a key role in ensuring spare parts availability across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and South America. You will balance demand, capacity, and inventory availability to optimize service levels across our network and help keep customers’ critical operations running.

You'll be part of a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture, that celebrates our differences and puts people first by fostering growth, well-being, and a sense of belonging.

This role will be based in the heart of Budapest, Hungary as part of a team of other Supply Planners and Order Execution Specialists reporting to the EMEA Planning & Order Execution Manager, Service & Solutions.

What you will be doing

As a key part of the Global Spare Part Supply Chain Planning & Order Execution team, you'll create impact that directly support Grundfos' mission to deliver sustainable water solutions worldwide.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Drive inventory performance across key performance indicators by optimizing spare parts inventory levels across the network, balancing customer availability, working capital, and inventory health through data-driven analysis, reporting, and recommendations.
  • Own critical planning master data by maintaining and continuously improving inventory planning parameters to enable accurate forecasting, replenishment, and supply decisions.
  • Lead operational supply planning activities through daily, weekly, and monthly planning cycles, ensuring the right stock is available at the right location and time while maximizing inventory turns.
  • Manage planning operations with external logistics partners, coordinating subcontracting activities and working closely with 3PL providers to secure smooth and efficient spare parts flows.
  • Partner with product management, manufacturing sites, and service stakeholders to successfully execute product introductions, phase-outs, quality actions, and engineering changes impacting the spare parts portfolio.
  • Reduce obsolescence and excess inventory by proactively managing slow-moving stock, coordinating return activities, and driving actions that improve inventory productivity across distribution centers and sales companies.
  • Resolve supply and availability challenges by proactively managing constraints and effective collaboration with suppliers, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to mitigate risks and secure customer deliveries.
  • Improve planning tools and processes by identifying opportunities for simplification, automation, and standardization, making it easier for colleagues across Service and Distribution to serve customers efficiently.

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a detail-oriented supply chain professional with strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced supply chain environment balancing competing priorities to maximise positive impact to customers.

We would also imagine that you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain management, Logistics, Business, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain planning, production planning, logistics or inventory management
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

It is a plus if you also have:

  • APICS/CPIM certification or equivalent supply chain qualification
  • Experience with advanced planning tools (e.g., SAP IBP, Orchestr8 (O8), Kinaxis, or similar)
  • Knowledge of Lean or continuous improvement methodologies

Why you will love working here

We care! Day to day, you can look forward to:

  • A working environment built around your needs, with flexible hours, home working opportunities and parental support.
  • Annual bonuses, health insurance and a strong focus on well-being activities.
  • Three days' additional paid leave for volunteering in your community.
  • Access to on-demand training and learning sessions and carefully structured programmes to pursue personal and professional development opportunities.

We are inclusive! Celebrating and valuing our differences helps us see possibilities where others can't. We therefore welcome and encourage applications from all abilities, experiences, and backgrounds.
