As our new Supply Chain Planner, you will play a key role in ensuring spare parts availability across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and South America. This role will be based in the heart of Budapest, Hungary as part of a team of other Supply Planners and Order Execution Specialists reporting to the EMEA Planning & Order Execution Manager, Service & Solutions.
What you will be doing
As a key part of the Global Spare Part Supply Chain Planning & Order Execution team, you'll create impact that directly support Grundfos' mission to deliver sustainable water solutions worldwide.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Drive inventory performance across key performance indicators by optimizing spare parts inventory levels across the network, balancing customer availability, working capital, and inventory health through data-driven analysis, reporting, and recommendations.
- Own critical planning master data by maintaining and continuously improving inventory planning parameters to enable accurate forecasting, replenishment, and supply decisions.
- Lead operational supply planning activities through daily, weekly, and monthly planning cycles, ensuring the right stock is available at the right location and time while maximizing inventory turns.
- Manage planning operations with external logistics partners, coordinating subcontracting activities and working closely with 3PL providers to secure smooth and efficient spare parts flows.
- Partner with product management, manufacturing sites, and service stakeholders to successfully execute product introductions, phase-outs, quality actions, and engineering changes impacting the spare parts portfolio.
- Reduce obsolescence and excess inventory by proactively managing slow-moving stock, coordinating return activities, and driving actions that improve inventory productivity across distribution centers and sales companies.
- Resolve supply and availability challenges by proactively managing constraints and effective collaboration with suppliers, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to mitigate risks and secure customer deliveries.
- Improve planning tools and processes by identifying opportunities for simplification, automation, and standardization, making it easier for colleagues across Service and Distribution to serve customers efficiently.
