Junior Project Manager
Job Description

Would you like to initiate and manage digitalization projects within Group Purchasing Excellence to ensure the global organization is working according to best in class frameworks/setup along tools?

What is the job about?

The Junior Project Manager will be have full responsibility on assigned projects start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget.  The Project Manager is part of a cross-functional project management team, often working across geographies and nationalities.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Set milestones, closely monitor the progress, allocate resources and assign tasks to ensure that targets are met
  • Show diligence by raising concerns in due time
  • Responsible for stakeholder management
  • Identify, resolve or escalate operational problems to avoid delays
  • Support and coordinate a clear and transparent agreement with the Project Board/Key stakeholders regarding the objectives of the project (Benefits, Cost, Quality, Risk, Scope, Time)
  • Interface across involved departments and Purchasing teams to drive the implementation of cross functional projects
  • Collaborate with the functional teams to develop a pipeline of project opportunities through the identification of business needs and alignment to strategic objectives.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, dependencies, resource plans, schedules, and deadlines for the complete project lifecycle
  • Lead the execution of complex, cross-functional projects, even with virtual teams to support the prioritized project portfolio. Manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Take ownership for the complete project life cycle, from initiation to close, including charters, project plans, stakeholder management, risk and issue logs, benefit realization, resource utilization, lessons learned, and closure logs
  • Establish clear project communication and reporting on a regular basis across multiple layers of management, project stakeholders and resources to drive clear alignment on project status
  • Drive strong risk and issue management, including proactive identification and mitigation

 

Your background:

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in regional or global level
  • BSc in Business Administration, Supply Chain or other relevant field
  • Advanced project management methodologies experience, PM certification - Prince II (nice to have).
  • Extended knowledge in Lean and/or Agile working method knowledge
  • Proven experience in a successful project execution (digitalization projects)
  • Strong communication to all layers of the organization
  • Advanced in presentations (both in content and in layouts)
  • High adaptability to changing environment
  • Can work in an cross-cultural team and also independently
  • Well Organized, self-motivated personality with a “part of a solution” attitude
  • Advanced in English, other languages can be an asset
  • Advanced user in Excel / PowerPoint

 

Budapest, Székesfehérvár, Tatabánya - Hungary: At least 2 days in the office per week.
