Grundfos is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join its Supply Chain team.  The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for all employees and activities in receiving and warehouse areas. The Warehouse Supervisor will collaborate with production control team, Production Manager and Materials Team.  This position reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager and will operate daily out of the Brookshire, Texas facility. Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.

What is the job about? 

  • Lead daily action meeting for the warehouse department.
  • Review and ensure that all production orders are pulled to optimize production/utilization of time by operation date. Will notify the production manager and production control team of any shortages in materials.
  • Maintain all E-Kanban and point of use stocking levels.
  • Review and maintain transfer requirements and transfer orders by managing the warehouse monitor.
  • Review and approve all personal time, vacation request and weekly attendance submittals for warehouse department
  • Complete yearly performance and development reviews working closely with the Production Manager
  • Coach, develop, train, prioritize set goals and measure performance for department employees
  • Plan out all department resources and activities in keeping with the company’s objectives and targets
  • Seek out and implement cost reduction measures in all aspects of warehouse SAP transactions and activities.
  • Ensure weekly cycle count program remains on target. Make adjustments as necessary to ensure continuous counts are completed by year end. Responsible for maintaining proper counts of parts pulled, stocked or staged.
  • Supporting and actively participating in all 5S activities on a daily basis including maintaining, department’s equipment and tools
  • Enter requisitions for all consumables and tools related to the logistics department.
  • Motivate staff to make an effective and efficient team
  • Work closely with machine shop and assembly lead or supervisor to allocate resources between the departments when needed.
  • Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job.
  • Ensure that all the health and safety requirements are met.
  • Within the scope of the job requirements, will be required to adhere to the Company ISO Quality Program and procedures, Company Policies and Safety and Environmental Regulations.
  • Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of Management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.
     

What do you need to apply? 

Qualified candidates will possess a High school diploma, plus 3 to 5 warehousing experience or other related fields of study. Additionally, have a Minimum 5 years warehouse/stockroom experience in a computerized environment.
 

  • Must have good conflict resolution skills and the ability to build respectful working relationships
  • SAP and RF controller experience in shipping receiving and warehouse preferred.
  • Must be computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel and Power Point.
  • Must be able to take and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Must possess basic math skills to include but no limited to adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing for the purposes of maintaining proper inventory, counts and to maximize shipping/receiving performance.
  • Responsible for leading and directing employees
  • Must be able to operate a forklift, overhead crane proficiently.
  • Must be able to work overtime when required.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to operate overhead crane
  • Ability to drive a forklift and other materials handling equipment.
