What is the job about?

 

As our new Supply Planner, you will be managing end-to-end material availability by creating and monitoring purchase orders in SAP, optimizing inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure on-time delivery and uninterrupted production. This position reports directly to our Supply Chain Supervisor and is based in Brookshire, Texas, operating on-site daily.

 

Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. Sponsorship is not available for applicants for US Work visa status for this opportunity (no sponsorship is available for H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, CPT or any other employment-based visa.

 

The salary range for this position is $66,900USD – 98,100USD. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Grundfos’s total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc. Grundfos salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in Brookshire, Texas.

What you will be doing

As a key part of the Supply Chain Planning team, you'll create impact by Driving material availability and supply chain resilience that directly enables Grundfos to deliver sustainable water and climate solutions to customers worldwide..

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Create, release, and maintain Purchase Orders in SAP based on MRP signals, monitoring open POs daily for accuracy and expediting urgent orders to prevent production disruptions
  • Monitor reorder points, safety stock, and min/max levels to maintain optimal inventory, performing gap analysis to identify shortages, excess, or supply risks
  • Communicate daily with suppliers to confirm delivery commitments, track on-time delivery performance, and escalate recurring issues to Purchasing for corrective action
  • Maintain accurate SAP master data including lead times, lot sizes, planning strategies, and delivery schedules to ensure data integrity across the planning system
  • Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Logistics, Quality, and Accounts Payable to resolve material issues, blocked invoices, and pricing discrepancies
  • Identify and drive process improvements in planning and procurement, including lead-time reduction, inventory optimization, and automation of planning tasks

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a detail-oriented supply chain professional with strong SAP expertise, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining data accuracy and driving continuous improvement. We would also imagine that you have:

  • 2–5 years of experience in material planning, production planning, or supply chain operations
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP MM/MRP or similar ERP systems
  • Proven ability to analyze data, identify gaps, and make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for supplier and cross-functional collaboration
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • Prior experience as a Buyer, Buyer/Planner, or Supply Chain Planner in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies or planning tool implementations
