What is the job about?  

 

Grundfos CBS is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Sales Manager to join its Commercial Building Services leadership team.  The Senior Technical Sales Manager will lead a team of Technical Sales Managers focused on key applications within the region as well as leading the Regional Trainer and the Sustainable Buildings Academy. This role represents a unique chance to establish yourself as a thought leader in our industry. It is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of Grundfos CBS US sales strategy, make a significant impact in a role that is pivotal to an exponential growth trajectory and establishing Grundfos as a market leader in the Commercial Building Services business in the US. This position reports directly to the Area Sales Director – CBS US & Canada and will operate on a hybrid schedule 3 days out of the Brookshire, TX facility.  Qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support now or in the future.

 

 

 

Your main responsibilities:   

  • Lead a team of Technical Sales Managers for effective messaging and training on specific applications.
  • Lead the Regional Training Manager and the overall direction of the Sustainable Buildings Academy.
  • Lead the overall strategy and effort to educate our internal team, partner teams and the market at large on sustainable building design, applications and Grundfos products.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding and communication of Grundfos products' value in CBS applications.
  • Collaborate with solutions & marketing, sales team to develop and highlight the unique value proposition of the equipment.
  • Drive the creation of compelling sales materials, presentations, and demonstrations.
  • Lead development workshops for Technical Sales Managers to build strong content library.
  • Work with Technical Sales Managers to roll out content, train Grundfos and partner sales teams.
  • Provide guidance on effective sales techniques, objection handling, and value-based selling approaches.
  • Ensure the sales team can effectively communicate the technical aspects and value of the equipment to customers.
  • Serve as a bridge between the product management, marketing and sales teams for effective communication and collaboration.
  • Gather market feedback for product development and enhancements.
  • Engage directly with customers to understand their specific requirements and challenges.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
  • Synthesize market analysis based on trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
  • Identify opportunities for product differentiation and develop market positioning strategies.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and emerging trends.
  • Collaborate across functions and motivate teams to achieve intended results.
  • Be an active part of the sales organization and motivated by reaching sales and market share targets for the region.

 

Your background  

We imagine that you have:    

  • Bachelor's in engineering or technical field (Master's advantageous).
  • 10-15 years of experience in technical sales or sales engineering.
  • Experience leading a team of technical sales or sales engineering staff.
  • Strong technical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel 30%
