What is the job about?  

The Senior Business Developer will be responsible for developing sales & supporting the sales companies globally within the Data Center business scope and the framework of the strategies and policies of the company to deliver our sales targets. As part of Global Sales Development, the duties of the Data Centre Senior Business Developer will include travel to different global locations in order to fulfill our commitments with our customers and sales teams. This position reports directly to the Senior Sales Manager, Verticals, CBS and will operate on a remote schedule out of the United States. Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support. 
 

 

Your main responsibilities 

  • The Senior Business Developer should have a ‘Can-do’ attitude and then proceed to make it happen. Take direct responsibility for ensuring a supply of opportunities working with the different sales teams.  Providing help and support with customer visits, exhibitions, seminars, webinars and presentations.
  • The Senior Business Developer should ensure continuous growth of the Data Centre offerings ETO/Modular/Water Treatment/Distributed Pumping Opportunity Pipeline. To provide ‘value added selling’ to all our offers (i.e., from pumps to systems) & to understand 3rd party products & establishing Grundfos as a one stop shop for the customer.
  • The Senior Business Developer should provide help and support to the sales teams to bring new offerings to the Data Center market.
  • The Senior Business Developer should provide help & support to the sales teams on understanding Data Center requirements, legislation & standards.
  • The Senior Business Developer should organize training for Grundfos employees and clients, develop training presentations and tailor-made presentations to the customer’s and sales team’s needs.
  • The Senior Business Developer should develop relations with peer companies to gain beneficial partnerships.
  • The Senior Business Developer should provide good customer service, support and follow-up on customers’ needs in an efficient and timely manner, whilst maintain a good relationship with the internal key stakeholders, Data Center project owner’s, Data Center operators, engineering contractors, design institutes, consulting engineers, Data Center Associations and authorities.

 

Your background 

We imagine that you have:   

  • Ability to lead a business process within Commercial Building Services.
  • Most likely to have 6-8 years of relevant work experience before entering besides formal education.
  • Solid knowledge of the plans, processes and activities within the functional area in Data Centers.
  • Strong ability to influence others and possess a great understanding of the relevant systems, local laws and regulations where applicable, for Data Centers.
  • A willingness to travel up to if necessary. As a result, candidates should be able to maintain valid identification.
