Senior Commerical Pricing Analyst

As our new Senior Commercial Pricing Analyst, you will be accelerating profitable deal closure for $1M+ Data Center and major commercial projects by executing pricing governance, margin modeling, quote validation, and approval coordination within our Deal Desk operating model — while driving continuous improvement across quoting and approval workflows.

What you will be doing:

 

As a key part of the Commercial Deal Desk team, you'll create impact by Driving faster, more accurate deal execution that directly strengthens profitability, customer satisfaction, and commercial scalability across our largest strategic projects.

Your main responsibilities include:

 

Pricing, Quoting & Margain Governance:

 

  • Build, validate, and maintain customer quotes in SAP while ensuring compliance with pricing corridors, discount policies, and approval requirements.
  • Support commercial strategy development by providing data-driven insights on pricing performance.
  • Develop margin models and profitability scenarios.

 

Deal Structuring & Approval Package Development:

 

  • Prepare complete approval packages for internal governance.
  • Coordinate approval routing with Finance, Sales Management, Legal and other required stakeholders whole ensuring SLA adherence.
  • Identify and proactively resolve quote issues that may cause rework, delays, or downstream execution risk.

Cross-Functional Deal Execution Support:

 

  • Partner with Sales teams to support strategy while ensuring compliance with governance and profitability expectations.
  • Support development and maintenance of standardized Deal Desk documentation including quote templates, risk checklists, and handoff artifacts.
  • Participate in structured Deal Desk cadence meetings to ensure alignment on pipeline priorities, risks, and execution readiness.

 

Opportunity Discipline & Commercial Process Support (SAP Governance): 

 

  • Ensure opportunities are correctly linked from Opportunity to Quote to Approvals with accurate value, scope, profitability and close date data.
  • Support opportunity hygiene and governance to improve forecasting reliability and support evidence-based decision making.
  • Help enforce structured commercial stage gating and escalation triggers.

 

Process Development & Continuous Improvement:

 

  • Evaluate existing Deal Desk quoting and approval workflows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and root causes of delays or errors.
  • Develop and implement process improvements that reduce cycle time, reduce quote rework, improve data quality, and strengthen compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects using structured methodologies.

 

Reporting & Performance Management:

 

  • Track and report performance metrics related to quote cycle time, approval speed, quote quality, pricing compliance, and margin attainment.
  • Develop dashboards and recurring reporting to highlight risks, progress, and opportunities for improvement.

What makes you a great fit: 

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field is required.
  • A minimum of 3–7+ years of experience in pricing, deal desk operations, commercial finance, sales operations, or quoting support
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, scenario analysis) with ERP/CRM experience (SAP preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with disciplined documentation practices and ability to interpret complex commercial data

 

It is a plus if you also: 

 

  • Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools for commercial reporting
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or structured continuous improvement methodologies
  • Background in Data Center, infrastructure, or engineered-to-order commercial environments

 

The salary range for this position is $91,800 to $138,275 per year.   Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Grundfos’s total compensation and benefits package for employees.
