As our new Head of Application Solutions, Wastewater Collections, you will be leading the Wastewater Collections application strategy from market analysis and portfolio optimization to business development and cross-functional stakeholder alignment while ensuring Grundfos delivers the right solutions to municipalities and utilities worldwide. What you will be doing

 

As a key part of the Application Solutions - MUNI team, you'll create impact by Driving strategic choices for the Wastewater Collections application through 2027 and beyond, directly influencing market share, profitability, and sustainable water infrastructure globally.

 

Your main responsibilities include:

 

  • Develop and coordinate multi-year application strategies (2, 5, and 10-year horizons) aligned with business unit and product strategies for Wastewater Collections
  • Ability to initiate and drive new customer-centric development projects from concept to market launch, ensuring deliveries throughout the complete project.
  • Analyze profit pools, market trends, competitive landscape, and customer segments to generate actionable application and customer insights
  • Define and manage the Wastewater Collections product portfolio, including lifecycle management, cost optimization, pricing, and margin monitoring
  • Identify new growth opportunities across markets, customer segments, and business models — piloting innovative ideas from concept to market launch
  • Participate actively in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, reviews) and deliver sprint commitments that meet defined requirements
  • Coordinate with cross-divisional stakeholders, enable the sales force with tools and insights, and ensure sustainability targets influence key decisions

 

What makes you a great fit

 

Above all, you are a strategic, commercially minded application leader with deep wastewater domain expertise, strong analytical capabilities, and a proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive results in a complex, global organization. We would also imagine that you have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree (preferred) or equivalent experience with minimum 5-7 years of relevant work experience in application management, business development, or product management
  • Proven industry experience in a large manufacturing or infrastructure environment, with expertise in global or regional business development and technical solutions
  • Experience presenting to executive level management.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with demonstrated ability to influence at executive level and across organizational boundaries
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written) with strong analytical skills including P&L ownership, KPI monitoring, and financial planning
  •  

It is a plus if you also:

 

 

  • Proven expertise and high-level knowledge of wastewater submersible products and wastewater collection applications
  • Experience driving and specifying digital solutions within an application or product management context
  • Familiarity with agile ways of working and cross-functional team collaboration in a matrix organization

The salary range for this position is $122,000.00 - $198,000.00. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc.  The salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in this region.

 

 

Qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

May consider candidates who reside in Mexico or Europe and meet all qualifications listed above. If candidate resides outside USA compensation and benefits will be based on residential location/country.
