Grundfos Americas Corporation is seeking an experienced Tax Manager for North America to join its Finance Controlling Americas team.  The Tax Manager for North America will be responsible for ensuring that Grundfos is tax compliant within the areas of transfer pricing, corporate income tax and indirect tax. This is achieved by developing and executing initiatives, activities and guidelines to support the compliance processes. It is to be secured that taxes are duly considered when business decisions are made. This is done by supporting the Grundfos business in this process to reduce/minimise the global tax risk exposure as well as reducing the tax cost where appropriate. This position reports directly to the Senior Manager Finance Controlling Americas and will operate preferably on a hybrid schedule out of the Brookshire, Texas facility or remotely.  Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.

 

What is the job about? 

 

  • Being the global process owner for taxes by working closely together with the Global Finance Process team and other relevant Grundfos stakeholders. 
  • Being a valued and trusted tax advisor for the Grundfos business and perform ad hoc tax analysis.
  • Supporting the companies when tax audits are ongoing and facilitate mutual agreement processes. 
  • Building and maintaining good relationships with the authorities as well as internal collaboration partners. 
  • Develop and implement tax strategies, policies and guidelines. 
  • Secure implementation of new tax laws and upgrade of ERP system, if needed.
  • Review and prepare various tax returns, transfer pricing documentations and benchmark studies.
  • Support implementation of new and automated IT solutions for tax compliance.
  • Manage tax risk based on a structured approach and balancing the right level for the tax control framework. 


What do you need to apply? 

 

Qualified candidates will possess a Master’s degree in Finance and/or Tax. Additionally, have a minimum of  6 years’ experience in global tax with a strong emphasis on U.S. tax, sales tax, and business audits. 

 

  • Communication and Presentation – Ability to communicate and present complex tax matters to colleagues and local authorities in an easy understandable way.
  • Direct tax – Ability to understand local/international tax regulation and implement this professional knowledge in daily work.
  • Indirect tax – Ability to understand local/international tax regulation and implement this professional knowledge in daily work.
  • Transfer pricing – Ability to understand, implement and monitor internal processes/policies related to transfer pricing.
  • Tax audit – Ability to support local companies during tax audits and if needed integrate support from external tax advisors. Facilitate mutual agreement with local tax authorities.
  • Professional curiosity – Ability to keep updated on business matters as well as tax matters. Ability to combine these two areas to support the business.
  • Tax Policies and Guidelines – Ability to develop and implement tax policies and guidelines, reflecting local/international tax regulation
  • IT Systems – Ability to use the following systems und understand the underlying data structures and flows at a sufficient level to fulfill the Job Role.
  • Systems and applications such as: SAP, BW/Analytic and MS Excel.
  • English - Ability to communicate in English (speaking, reading and writing)
  • Cultural understanding – Ability to understand and adapt to people from different nationalities.
