What is the job about?  

Grundfos CBS Inc. (GCB) is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join its Service Delivery team.  The Field Service Technician will apply broad expert technical knowledge and after-sales service to the regional/global market for Grundfos supplied services and solutions. Responsible for maintaining and developing service programs for products, service centers and partners and troubleshooting methodology for new and existing products. Demonstrates high degree of understanding of customer needs.  This position reports directly to the Head of Service & Solutions SW and will operate daily out of the Brookshire, TX facility.  Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.

 

 

Your main responsibilities:   

  • Provide after-sales service technical expertise.
  • Troubleshoot pumps and pumping systems and provide practical technical solutions and assistance to customers and business partners.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and maintenance of service-related literature.
  • Provide service-related product training and technical support to customers and colleagues for new and existing products and their applications.
  • Participate in product introduction and quality teams.
  • Analyse failure data and report findings to support corrective action activities.
  • Responsible for developing service-related procedures and work instructions.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism in the execution of the role and in all customer communications
  • Ensure warranty claims are dealt with in a fair and timely manner for all parties concerned ensuring that due process is followed and all necessary Administration tasks are completed to ensure traceability of jobs and hours allocated
  • Ensure timely and accurate input and analysis of data through SAP and FAS so that issues are monitored and resolved as quickly and effectively as possible

 

Your background  

We imagine that you have:    

 

  • Qualified candidates will possess a Technical education knowledge of electrical/mechanical engineering
  • Technical education knowledge of electrical/mechanical engineering
  • 5 years of work experience in the industry or comparable environment
  • Experience with pump technology
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Ability to participate in work with processes or projects within the service environment.
  • Ability influence others and follow processes.
  •  Knowledge of best practices and relevant practices, systems in the service environment.
  • Experience driving well-defined processes within the service environment.
  • The ability to operate daily out of the Brookshire, TX facility.  

 

 

Will be required to travel up to 50% of the time and work in the Field with short notice. Thus, candidates should be able to maintain valid identification.
