CSSC Back Office Engineer

As our new CSSC Application Engineer, you will be providing expert-level technical support and application engineering to customers across multiple channels, helping them find optimal pumping solutions while mentoring and supporting the CSSC Back Office team. What you will be doing
As a key part of the CSSC Back Office team, you'll create impact by delivering tailored technical solutions that ensure optimal pump system performance and strengthen lasting customer relationships.

 

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Provide second-level technical support including detailed product sizing, application engineering, system integration, and accessory selection across phone, email, live chat, and messaging channels
  • Support sales teams by managing technical aspects of tenders and mid-scale projects, delivering accurate specifications, dimensions, and engineering calculations
  • Develop tailored solutions by collaborating with internal teams to ensure optimal performance and practical implementation in diverse customer environments
  • Handle complex and escalated inquiries and quotations, including HX and accessories, ensuring high customer satisfaction
  • Identify business opportunities and hand over leads to external sales while implementing value-added services to enhance customer relationships
  • Provide technical guidance and support to CSSC Back Office team members to elevate overall team capability

What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a technically skilled problem solver with strong customer service instincts, the ability to juggle multiple priorities with accuracy, and a collaborative spirit that lifts the entire team. We would also imagine that you have:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent, with 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Fundamental knowledge of pumps and pumping systems, including control panels, motors, motor protection systems, variable speed drives, and accessories
  • Previous customer service experience with strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP CRM/SD preferred) and MS Office applications including Excel, Word, and Teams
  • Ability to work in a hybrid schedule based out of the Brookshire, TX facility.

 

It is a plus if you also:

  • Application engineering experience specifically in the pump industry
  • Experience with product sizing software and handling technical specifications per industry standards
  • Proven ability to anticipate customer needs and proactively deliver solutions

 

Please note that relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidate must have the authorization to work in the USA without support.

 

The salary range for this position is $69,000 to $104,000. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Grundfos’s & Peerless Pump Company total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc. Certain roles are eligible to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization.
