What is the job about?
As our new APU Supervisor, you will be leading all daily operations and employees across clean and prep, kitting, trim file and balance, paint booth, and pump assembly stations and conveyor lines — ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery while supporting Grundfos's Ignite '27 strategy and Win in the US initiatives. This position reports directly to our APU Manager and is based in Brookshire, Texas, operating on-site daily covering the second shift.

The salary range for this position is 89,800USD – 100,000USD. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Grundfos’s total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc. Grundfos salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in Brookshire, Texas.
Your main responsibilities:
As a key part of the Production Operations team, you'll create impact by Driving operational excellence and team development across the assembly department to deliver world-class pump solutions that help solve the world's water and climate challenges..
Your main responsibilities include:
- Lead the assembly department including preparing work schedules, work assignments, and overseeing assembly/disassembly of pumps, pump systems, kits, and engineered units
- Motivate, coach, develop, and train team members — conducting performance reviews, setting goals, and measuring results in partnership with the Production Manager
- Identify assembly line inefficiencies and downtime, collaborating cross-functionally to resolve issues and implement cost reduction measures across logistics and SAP transactions
- Champion all EHS initiatives including conducting toolbox safety meetings, leading incident investigations, ensuring compliance with GCB Safety policies, and reinforcing environmental awareness
- Lead daily 5S activities and maintain equipment and tools, while entering requisitions for consumables and coordinating resources across departments
- Occasionally support field service-related projects in the shop and assist service technicians in the field as needed
We imagine that you have:
Above all, you are a metrics-driven production leader with strong mechanical aptitude, proven people management skills, and a safety-first mindset who communicates effectively and leads by example. We would also imagine that you have:
- 5+ years of proven supervisory experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
- Significant hands-on experience with SAP or another MRP system
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and work from engineering drawings and schematics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong verbal and written English communication skills
It is a plus if you also:
- College degree or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience in a related technical field
- Basic understanding of the fundamentals of electricity
- Experience operating precision instruments and lifting equipment in an industrial setting
