Sales & Customer Support
Project Manager
Job Description

Are you driven by the challenge of delivering complex engineering projects that bring clean water solutions to communities across North America? Then join us in our mission to pioneer smarter solutions for moving and transforming water, reducing energy consumption, and enhancing quality of life for people.

As our new Project Manager, you will be leading and executing customer projects across the full lifecycle—from order entry through installation, start-up, and commissioning—ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery that exceeds expectations. You'll be part of a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture that celebrates our differences and puts people first by fostering growth, well-being, and a sense of belonging.

In this role, you will follow a hybrid work model based in our offices in Oakville, ON, or Brockville, ON, or remotely from Ottawa, ON.

What you will be doing:

As a key part of the NewTerra Project Management team, you'll create impact by driving profitable project execution and customer satisfaction by coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver critical water infrastructure solutions.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Manage multiple customer projects end-to-end, controlling scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and quality standards against defined KPIs
  • Serve as the primary customer contact post-award, interpreting contracts, managing change orders, and communicating project status proactively
  • Coordinate across Sales, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Service, and QHES to mobilize resources and ensure efficient execution
  • Oversee logistics for major equipment shipping, on-site start-up, commissioning, and customer training
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of all project documentation including submittals, order details, and change orders
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all project activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements

What makes you a great fit:

Above all, you are a detail-oriented project management professional with an engineering background, strong commercial acumen, and a proven ability to juggle multiple projects while keeping customers informed and deliverables on track. We would also imagine that you have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in civil, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline
  • 3–5 years of project management experience in engineering, manufacturing, or water/wastewater environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including MS Project, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Prior technical or engineering experience with strong documentation and contract interpretation skills

It is a plus if you also have:

  • P. Eng or PMP certification
  • Experience with water and wastewater pumping systems or infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with project management, governance frameworks and authority matrices
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time to customer sites and/or manufacturing facilities throughout Canada and the USA.

The salary range for this position is $80,900 to $107,700 CAD. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Newterra’s total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, commissions for sales employees, etc. Salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in Brockville, CA.

We care! Day to day, you can look forward to:

  • A working environment built around your needs, with flexible hours, home working opportunities and parental support.
  • Health insurance and a strong focus on well-being activities.
  • Three days' additional paid leave for volunteering in your community.
  • Access to on-demand training and learning sessions and carefully structured programs to pursue personal and professional development opportunities.
